Juliette was so excited to have a daughter. Connor let her name their daughter after her Aunt and that was how they went home with Victorie. After all, it was Aunt Victorie's land they were living on and now a Victorie would live there too. Victorie was a very happy baby. Juliette and Connor worked themselves like crazy while Victorie was an infant. They knew that she would need a big girl bedroom soon and made a plan for additions to the house. Juliette created painting after painting to sell and Connor stayed up as late as he could most nights writing articles for work and novels on the side. By the time Victorie's birthday came along, they had enough to add a second story. All they did was get walls up and a new roof, but they at least had it ready. They kept working hard, so that they could add walls for rooms and then decorate it all for their little angel. They kept some money aside to throw Victorie a birthday party. Their friends were as excited as they were to see the beautiful little girl grow up happy and healthy. Victorie was the perfect mix of Juliette and Connor, you couldn't find two happier parents. However happy times don't always last. Juliette's parents were flying in from France to see Victorie for the first time and their plane crashed. Juliette was devastated, for she had never fully made up with her parents for running off to Sunset Valley. She fell into a depression and ignored her family. All she could focus on were those feelings and she let them out through her art. It was they only way she knew how to cope. In the meantime, Connor was left to care for Victorie by himself. He barely had any time off of work and when he did it was spent teaching Victorie how to walk, talk, and use the potty. They were still trying to save money to complete a bedroom and bathroom upstairs for Victorie, but while Juliette was making money with those paintings...Connor had to use that money to hire a maid to do the house work Juliette used to do. By the time Juliette's birthday rolled around, she was coping a bit better. Connor feared she would never be the same. It was around this time they were notified that Juliette's parents had left them everything they owned. Each inheritance had $30,000-32,000 simoleans, leaving them with about $68,000 in their savings with the money they'd been adding. While Connor was thrilled, he wasn't happy with the way they got the money and Juliette fell even more depressed again. Connor used up most of the money to finish Victories room, the upper bathroom, a play area off the landing, and he added in a pool and play area for Victorie outside. He still left quite a bit of money to the side, because he'd come up with an idea that would hopefully help pull Juliette out of her depression. As Victorie's next birthday approached, Connor breathed a sigh of relief that her room was finished. Since Juliette was still down in the dumps, he decided not to throw Victorie a party this year. Instead they went to a Sim Fest at the park. Victorie loved music the first time he'd played it around the house while writing, so thought she would enjoy a show. Unfortunately there were more acrobats than singers, but Victorie and her invisible friend enjoyed the show anyways. On the way home they had to pull over, because of Victorie. She was complaining of a tummy ache, but it turns out she was just nervous about being a big girl and having to go to school. Once her birthday passed, she was fine and loved being able to do so many new things! Victorie adored her room and her daddy had even bought her a laptop. She wanted to be a writer and a painter, just like her parents. She studied hard and even practiced her writing skills for a while before bed each night. She used her studies to get attention from her mom, who was always willing to help with homework. Slowly Juliette realized she was depriving her daughter of the things her mother had given her as she grew up. She resolved to change. Juliette agreed with Connor's idea and admitted that it excited her, so they worked on that. In the meantime she helped Victorie with her school work and spent some much needed mother/daughter time with her. Things started to feel more normal again and Victorie ended up on the honor roll. Juliette was so thrilled that her and Connor decided to surprise Victorie if she stayed on it for three full days. Those days went by so slowly and nerve-racking for the small family, but when Victorie came home that third day and showed them that she made it they were ecstatic. While Victorie was at school that fourth day, Juliette called and got Victorie her own kitty. She spent the day getting all the accessories for the kitty set up around the house and making sure kitty knew where the litter box was. When Victorie got home that day, she fell in love with her kitty that she named Kayla. She also received the news that her mom and dad were having another baby. Victorie was happy for her mom and glad for their family that Juliette seemed to be fully out of her depression. It would also give Juliette more things to focus on as Victorie was close to being a teenager. After all, there's only so much babying a teenage girl can take. Victorie spent the days leading up to her siblings birth playing out in the yard with Kayla. She had fun in her tree house, the slide, and the swing. Kayla followed her wherever she went and sometimes showed up at her friends homes while she was there. She used the excuse that she was still a child to take advantage of playing dress up. She pretended she was a princess and partied to the stereo at pretend balls. It was one night that Victorie was spending as a princess that her parents called in a sitter and headed to the hospital. The baby was coming. Victorie played the princess the entire time Connor and Juliette were gone, ordering the pretend doctor to send her a baby brother. You can image her shock when her mom and dad came home with twin girls, instead of the brother she ordered! Victorie was a little jealous she would be her daddy's only little angel anymore, but she helped her mom and dad set up another crib in the nursery for her sisters; Avril and Arrianne. Connor just hoped and prayed that his idea of having another baby was enough to bring his Juliette back to him. He missed the fun loving woman he'd fallen in love with.
